01 - Artist Name & Location = Autumn Electric/ Seattle
02 - How did the project come into existence? = Naomi and Michael met near UW in Seattle a few years back. Our first gig was serenading this guys girlfriend at 1 am. she was surprised! Barton and Dan are both east coast transplants.
03 - Who are the members of the band if any and please tell us about it = Michael writes the songs, usually on guitar. Naomi plays piano and synth bass (her left hand is our bass player), along with glockenspiel and beautiful harmonies. Dan plays the kit, as well as weird keyboards and guitars. Barton jumps from guitar to accordian, banjo, singing saw. we are funny group, and many of us play in various bands of eachothers.
04 - How would you describe your sound/genre? = definitely part of the fleet fox/decemberist/band of horses movement. I say we lean more towards progressive like some of the decemberists, but more so like early Genesis or the Moody Blues
05 - What formal training or previous experience do any of the members have? = mostly just a bunch of ruffians. I think Naomi has played in jazz choir
06 - Are you working w/ a producer on your upcoming album? = the one and only Johnny Unicorn is both engineering and producing our upcoming album "Make Me a Tree"
07 - Who would you say has been the biggest influence on the bands sound or that you have used as inspiration for your music? = Moody Blues, Flaming Lips, Johnny Unicorn, David Bowie
08 - What advice would you give to others starting out? = Make lots of friends, and keep being good to them. get really quality sounding recordings.

10 - If you could play anywhere in the world or with anyone you wanted where and who would it be with? = Peter Gabriel on the Moon
11 - What has been your greatest experience so far either individually or as a whole? = Running a successful fundraiser for the upcoming album, just pulling together and making it happen
12 - Do you have any upcoming events or news you would like to tell our readers about? = West Coast Tour with Autumn Electric and Johnny Unicorn Feb 18- March 3rd, Releasing "Make Me a Tree" march 2012
13 - Where do you see yourselves or hope to be in about 5 years? = opening for Soul Asylum on their 1992 breakout tour... oh wait that's the past
