02 - How did the project come into existence? = LIFTOFF form in early 2011, Gorg Gemmell and Marc boily wrote 18 demos to present to friends they have played music with over the past 12 years, Shane Recsky and Sean Brennan. The band started to learn and rehearse the material and fell in love with it, all that was missing was a vocalist and Carmon Lesson who was on hiatus from his previous project "MorningMaker" came down to check the band out, After the first visit everyone agreed he was the perfect fit.

04 - How would you describe your sound/genre? = s Green Day meets Metallica with the romance of the Cure

Its the Killers and Nirvana with David Bowie driving.

They are from Vancouver but they don't sound like Vancouver

imagine a Space Shuttle LIFTOFF from Rockefeller Centre on New Years Eve Flashy, Flamboyant, yet Sophisticated and Unpredictable.

Meaningful poignant lyrics wrapped around tight modern pop rock arrangements. Huge guitar, Huge vocals, Huge Sound.

05 - What formal training or previous experience do any of the members have? = Every memebrs of this band have been playign their instruments for more then 15 years. toured North america several times and recorded in studio several singles and albums.

06 - Are you working w/ a producer on your upcoming album? = Releasing our a 3 songs EP January 24th all song from the full lenght album NAKED due out last quater of 2012

07 - Who would you say has been the biggest influence on the bands sound or that you have used as inspiration for your music? =

Every members of this band draw from various artists / genre

The early comments point towards a mixture of brit pop, Green day, Simple Plan, Placebo

08 - What advice would you give to others starting out? = Do it for the right reason, "Connecting with people" and of course the music not how much money you can get out of it.

10 - If you could play anywhere in the world or with anyone you wanted where and who would it be with? = There are so many wonderful places in the world so it would have to be a year long tour with several other bands who share the same passion.

11 - What has been your greatest experience so far either individually or as a whole? = As Liftoff we have been selected ot play in Austin Texas during SxSW at the Red Gorilla festival and a few other venues and so far that is the best thing that has happen to us this early in the project.

12 - Do you have any upcoming events or news you would like to tell our readers about? = Liftoff will have a week long feature on the VISO MUSIC channel leading up to our 5 dates in 6 days Texas tour coming up in March.

We will be performing @ SxSW and The Red Gorilla Festival in 2012.

13 - Where do you see yourselves or hope to be in about 5 years? = 5 years from now we see Liftoff playing gigs across the map from the US al the way up to Asia. Feeding new music to our fans every year along the way
